• Guidelines from Kind en Gezin

When it comes to the menus for babies and toddlers, as well as the vegetable purees, our supplier Belgomeals (Agape) follows the guidelines of Kind en Gezin..

For the vegetable purees, we only select vegetables that are suitable for babies when they begin eating solid foods. We have a variety of 11 vegetable purees available in our assortment. As a result, we can provide daily variety in vegetables for two full weeks of childcare. This means that each day, a different vegetable can be explored and introduced to the children.

For our baby menus, which follow a six-week cycle, we also exclusively use vegetables that are appropriate for babies from 6 months onwards. The meat and fish used in these blends, are always the natural version without additional seasonings or additives. Information regarding the addition of fats and the use of seasonal vegetables can be found in the attachment under the headings ‘Groenten worden gekozen volgens het seizoen’ and ‘Groentepapjes en mixen worden reeds verrijkt met plantaardige olie’. 

Our toddler menus have been thoroughly reviewed and approved by the dietician from Kind en Gezin. For the toddler menus, Kind en Gezin itself also follows the guidelines provided by the "Vlaams instituut Gezond Leven". 

• Meals tailored to the needs of the child

When a child has a specific allergy or intolerance, we take appropriate measures. Agape provides various dietary menus to accommodate these needs.

To establish a dietary plan, a diet request must be submitted first. The only requirement for requesting a dietary plan, is to provide a doctor’s certificate. The reason for this is that we require accurate and complete information. Only then we’re able to compose an accurate diet plan.

• A wide range of products

Agape has developed a basic menu according to the standards outlined above. Children of all ages can receive a hot meal.

In addition to the basic menu, a vegetarian menu is available daily, as well as a halal menu for those who prefer it. In addition to the guidelines of Kind en Gezin, we also take the values that parents want to instill in their children into account. An additional menu is available on the days with the vegetarian basic menu, allowing the daycare centers to determine whether their children are ready for it or not.
