About the childcare centre

Vlasbloempje has been a well-established childcare centre in Beveren-Leie for many years. We have places for 75 children aged 0 to 3 years. Vlasbloempje is located in a modern, bright building with a pleasant outdoor play area, right next to the primary school. The centre is managed on a day-to-day basis by team coaches Femke Galle and Jasmien Van Weyenbergh.

How we work

At Vlasbloempje, there are five different groups, each with 15 children. Our groups are called Bengels, Elfjes, Filoetjes, Pernukkels and Sloebers.

We work with mixed-age groups, as this creates a warm, family-like atmosphere in which children of different ages learn from and help one another. Younger children look up to the older ones and learn new skills, while older children develop a sense of responsibility and strengthen their social skills. This encourages natural and dynamic growth, similar to a family environment, where every child can develop at their own pace.

What matters to us

Vlasbloempje is a shoe-free childcare centre where children play barefoot. We believe outdoor play is very important.

Our childcare centre has spacious outdoor terraces and a garden, giving children plenty of opportunities to explore, play and move around outside in a safe and stimulating environment.

In short, we provide childcare where everyone can feel at home and play, grow and flourish to their heart’s content!

Regarding the childcare schedule

To ensure that we can fully fulfil our pedagogical role and build a strong bond with your child, your child must attend childcare for an average of at least four full days per week. Half-day attendance is not possible.

Kindercentrum cannot guarantee the minimum number of childcare days at the start of the placement, which means your child may initially attend fewer days. As soon as occupancy allows, the childcare provider will inform you, and the number of childcare days must be increased to at least four days per week.
