Your tasks
- You monitor the implementation of the approved coating documents by:
- at the start of coating activities and together with the factory’s coating inspectors and customer’s inspectors, organising the specific coating procedure tests (CPT) to assess the quality level as described in the approved coating ITP.
- monitoring the coating quality on the products at various production locations and during all stages of production – i.e. making sure that coating is compliant with the approved coating ITP and procedures and is performed according to most cost-efficient working statement.
- ensuring that all required inspections are performed on time.
- ensuring notifications of pending inspections are sent on time.
- monitoring the daily logs and quality assurance documentation at the various production locations.
- You assist the Corrosion Protection Expert Responsible:
- with comparing our standard painting procedures with the requirements in the customer contract
- With preparing project-specific coating documentation such as:
- Specifications for coating work
- Procedure for coating application and inspection
- ITP for coating work and related working methods
- You solve quality-related problems by:
- working together with the Quality Assurance department to check all project-related corrective action requests (CAR) and non-conformity reports (NCR) about coating.
- check whether all project-related NCRs about coating are closed on time.
- General tasks:
- Assist Smulders fabrication sites with innovative projects related to corrosion protection
- Performing various inspections at different locations (subcontractors and yards)
- Assist in the improvement of Smulders' coating related processes at the different fabrication sites
Your magic skills
- You have a master or bachelor degree in engineering and preferably have relevant experience in a similar role.
- You are a certified level 2 AMPP or FROSIO coating inspector (minimum) or equivalent.
- You have a keen interest in the manufacturing industry.
- You can flexibly adapt to changing locations and hours in order to work on projects.
- You have an excellent knowledge of English.
- You work equally well on your own and in a team.
- You have strong analytical skills.
- You’re able to keep and produce detailed records and reports.
- You have good communication skills and are able to communicate with client representatives
- You’re willing to travel frequently to the different Smulders sites and yards
