Coating repair campaign during installation (Germany)

The scope of Future Services was to repair the coating damages caused during the installation phase of this offshore wind farm. It was important for our client that a punch list was finished and all additional damages were repaired and documented. A large emphasis was put on reporting as it would serve as the basis for a cost split between several parties later on. To reach that goal, Future Services developed a tailor-made reporting system together with the client to meet requirements.
Halfway through the project, alterations were made to the project timeline due to the bankruptcy of another contractor. Together with our client, we looked for solutions to accommodate the new deadlines.
From our solution-oriented approach, we suggested a change of paint system and a ramp up in personnel. After the green light from the client, we implemented this new approach on very short notice and supplied additional qualified personnel to the project.
Because Future Services uses experienced personnel and certified FROSIO coating inspectors, it was no problem to switch from a Hempel to a Sika coating system halfway through the campaign. The application of Seal for Life (on the tower and TP connection) was also added to our scope.
Due to the management in place, Future Services is always able to accommodate a high level of flexibility during projects.
The combination of hands-on management and flexibility allowed Future Services to react quickly and adequately to the rapidly changing situation in a project environment.
