Welcome to 't Vlasbloempje.
't Vlasbloempje has been a well-established institution in Beveren-Leie for years. We have space for 54 children aged 0-3 years. 't Vlasbloempje is housed in a modern, light-filled building with a pleasant outdoor play area located right next to the Primary School. The daily management of this daycare center is led by team coach Femke Galle.
Operation
At 't Vlasbloempje there are 3 different age groups.
The youngest ones start in the Pernukkels group. Throughout the day, we take your child's daily routine into account and spoil him/her with plenty of cuddles and a suitable selection of toys, challenges and stimuli.
Our intermediate group, Sloebers, is ready for the children who need a bit more variety and stimulation but are not yet ready for the toddler group. The children who don't need a nap in the morning stay awake and can participate in the activity! We sit together in a cozy circle and wake up Pukje, our doll. We sing and talk about the upcoming activity. Here, we take our first steps towards creativity! Drawing a line with a pencil or crayon, "painting" with our hands or feet... but also cuddling, sensory play, singing or receiving a massage are possible activities.
Our toddlers and older children then transition, after consultation with the parents, to the Bengels group. Every day at 9:30 am, we have a circle moment. We wake up our doll Jules and select a "child of the day." Jules plays and learns with us throughout the day, providing a sense of routine for the children.
What we consider important
At 't Vlasbloempje, we have a shoe-free policy. Children play barefoot in our facility. Additionally, we highly value outdoor play. The Pernukkels and Sloebers have a spacious outdoor terrace adjacent to their living area. From there, they also have access to the garden. The Bengels have an outdoor play pit connected to their group area and immediate access to the garden.
In conclusion, we guarantee a nurturing environment where everyone can feel welcomed and freely engage in play, grow and development!
Tamara, mother of Camille: Our daughter happily goes to daycare every day. She is well taken care of, and they do it with love and respect. There is good communication between parents and caregivers! It's great that there's an activity with the kids every day, and they are actively engaged and not left to their own accord. When we pick them up, they always look radiant!
