The kindervilla has been a well-established institution in Waregem for years. We provide care for children aged 0-3. The daycare center is coordinated by Ine Barbary.

Operation

At the Kindervilla we have 3 different age groups that function within a pass-through system based on the child’s maturity and development. We have space for 54 children.

Our children up to about 14 months old start In our age group Girafkes. Throughout the day, we take your child's daily routine into account and spoil him/her with plenty of cuddles and a suitable selection of toys, challenges and stimuli.

Our intermediate group, Olifantjes, is ready for the children who need a bit more variety and stimulation but are not yet ready for the toddler group.

When the toddlers are almost 2 years old and ready for it, they can transition to our Egeltjes group. There, we follow a more structured daily routine, starting with a circle moment at 9 o’clock. We wish each other a good morning, and hedgehog Theo chooses a “toddler of the day” who gets to help decide which activities we will do that day. During lunchtime, we teach the children to eat independently, and they throw their bibs into the laundry basket themselves.

What we consider important

We work tailor-made for each child and asses how we can provide the right stimuli, challenges and appropriate toys.

During good weather, we encourage outdoor play as much as possible so that everyone can get their necessary dose of vitamin D. This applies to both young and older children!
