In addition to the larger group daycare centers or daycare centers, Kindercentrum vzw also has 4 small-scale family care initiatives. These are run by 1 or a maximum of 2 childminders. A family care center can accommodate a maximum of 8 children at the same time. Childminders Ellen and Elien from ‘Kabouterhuisje’ are joining forces and therefore provide space for 16 children. Our family care service also operates on an income-based fee system.

Our childminders receive support from our central services, including:

• home visits / guidance / coaching sessions on a regular basis;
• an extensive training program;
• administrative, pedagogical and material support.
   

Parents can rely on our central services for:

• information about the services;
• administrative and financial arrangement of their childcare request;
• mediation for complaints.
